Great little hometown diner. Food was good and service was very attentive. Seats around 50ish if I recall. Seems to be a happening spot for breakfast on Saturday mornings in Pekin.
Small delightful cafe. Service was excellent. Very clean place, nice selections on the menu. Food was absolutely delicious 😋. Definitely will be making a return trip here next time I pass through town.
My husband & I tried it for the first time our waitress Terrie was welcoming and awesome. The food was hot and reasonably priced with a wide diverse selection . We can't wait to come try their lunch or dinner meals.
I've been there twice now and both times have been delightful. The food is always good, and service is friendly and fast. I went with my granddaughter today for brunch. Our waitress was very attentive and our food came very quickly. We each walked out with leftovers. Thank you for such great small town good and service.
I was impressed. Food came out together and hot. We had a table of 14 and we all ordered something different from breakfast to chicken parm. Our server was incredible, she kept the drinks full and the prices where very reasonable and the plates were full. No one left hungry.
Food was good even though they got our order wrong. Service was awful. There was one waitress the night we were in there that just gave us dirty looks the whole time and never acknowledged us and once we finally got someone to wait on us, we never got checked on and then had to stand by the register to even get our check and it's a pretty small place. We will give them some time to train people and try again but if the service is the same even though the food is good we won't be back.
There’s a fantastic new spot in town! The staff is lovely, and the owner, even took the time to introduce themself. It seems like an awesome local place for regular visits. The food was delicious with a home-cooked feel and great presentation.
8th street Cafe opened this week so we stopped by to check it out. I seen people talking about it on Facebook so I'm sure many people were eager to try it out as well. It's definitely a small cafe but I feel if business goes great the owner could look into expanding. Right when we walked in, I noticed there were about 20 tables and they were all filled. We didn't have to wait too long for a table but did have to wait a while before we ordered, they were busy though so we were understanding. I tried the pulled pork and to be honest, I hate to say it but it was a miss for me. The pork was in huge chunks and a bit cold in some parts. I wanted to love it so I was bummed. My husband got the chicken n waffles and it was hot n ready. I also got the broccoli and cheese soup and I thought that was great it was nice and hot! I gave the atmosphere 3 stars because it was so small and so loud that I had to move over closer to my husband so I could hear him. It is cute though, the decorations make it homey. We might come back and visit if we're in the area, although we do like your EP location much better. Congrats on the new business and we wish you the best!
